IMHO, about the only way you'd get quality audio reproduction from a cassette deck would be to go with units from Nakamichi.but we're talking here about top-end units costing thousands of pounds/dollars when new. Many of the up-market Cassette Players had heavy flywheels built in, to mitigate this problem Unfortunately, this is an unfortunate reality of the Cassette System, They cannot compete with Vinyl or CDs, when it comes to quality and lots of Cassette Players are not able to maintain consistent speeds. CM: One of the things you may notice, after you have converted your cassettes to Digital, is the low quality of the recording, due to the narrow width of the tape, also "Wow and Flutter" (changes in the speed of the tape crossing the head).
